Chat on the Bench is an opportunity for timebank leaders from around the world. The moderator(s) pose a question and move people into breakout rooms for discussions. If you have an interest in becoming a BACE Timebank leader, this event is a great way to explore that interest.
EARN: 1 credit hour for attending. Optionally, provide a written/voice summary of the event’s breakout questions, your experience, etc. and earn one additional credit hour.

Grand Ave is a business/residential district in Oakland, CA. Join us this Saturday to remove litter, recyclables, weeds, and leaves. We start at 3535 Grand Ave and move toward the freeway. You may arrive later, as your schedule allows. We’re a small team (1-3 people), so you’ll need to park and stroll about.
REMEMBER: Feed the meter with coins or debit/credit card (We reimburse in cash AT the event only.)
BRING: Gloves (and tools if you have them). Bags and removal provided. (Helpful tools: wide broom, rake, 6-inch pruning sheers, V-tool for removing weeds, mini-broom/pan, spray bottle with cleaning agent & cloth/paper towels), graffiti removal agent).
EARN: Up to 2 BACE Timebank Credit Hours (CH) plus 1 CH for travel.
Join us at the Orinda Community Park, the grass area between the library and tennis courts. Bring one of the following to share with others: appetizer, salad or cookies/cakes. Beverages will be provided. Meet up with long-time and new members and learn more about timebanking. Potluck is open to the general public. (Venue: Orinda Community Park, 28 Orinda Way, Orinda, CA 94563. Plenty of parking. Accessible by BART, about a 9 min walk from Orinda BART. Make a Timebank requests/offers if you need or can offer a ride by car.) Event is RAIN or SHINE—if it starts to sprinkle, we’ll move to the library deck (upstairs) and/or gallery foyer for continued conversation.
